A bit like COD each year.
Interesting as Eurogamer reported a few slow downs at busy times and said the lack of screen tear was due to a triple frame buffer.
Looking forward to trying this out.
I have to say that does look good. The smoothness and the speed is impressive as is the revised Silverstone layout at dusk. Perfect if he switched that silly racing line aid off. Real racers don't need it.
I've only played gt5 with a controller but the wheel looks so much more suited to the way the handling is set up.
That is insane!
I've bought some great paints for my cars but the skill on show there is extraordinary. Hats off.
I normally like to deck my cars out in cigarette ad paint jobs as it reminds me of years gone by when advertising wasn't restricted by the nanny state + they look cool and they are bad for you ;-)

I wonder if instead of using the hdmi in for your sat box if you could run your 360 into it. Not sure of the point but an interesting experiment to daisy chain them up.
@Edonus
You make a very valid and considered point regarding Sonys history of using their platforms to help introduce non gaming specific media yet you get slammed for it.
Yes this strategy for PS4 is relying on their core gaming base and it could pay off as they seem to be taking a polar position to MS deliberately to be seen as the good guys of gaming. I think Sony are mainly doing this as they need a 'banker' product as a cash cow to shore up the b...
Based on how little we ACTUALLY know about the system, it's policies and infrastructure I don't know how anyone can argue that there isn't an over reaction at this early stage. Granted both MS and Sony could be a little more open about dispelling any nasty rumours in a clear and concise manner when asked directly, but people are getting all worked up over conjecture, rumour and hyperbole.
When things get cleared up officially from the horses mouth then is the time...
Yes.
And a nasty 20% VAT :(
Ouch! I hope that's a guesstimate. And that's without 8 gig of expensive gddr5.
£350/£399 would be my guess. Sure 360 was about that at launch.
Walk the walk...
There was a rumour that the XB1 would include a 360 SoC for bc. I for one am very disappointed that the new box wont let me play my XBLA titles such as Trials. I would have paid more for that feature.
If I buy a new iPad or phone I expect to be able to access my iTunes purchases on it. Why should the Xbox be any different as it too is built on an online store/system.
The differences in architecture could have been dealt with if they wanted to but it's eas...
Oh stop it with the stupid flame hit articles.
Have you seen the size of the fan they are using?
Explains the box size.
You do have a point lvl_up. The hate for xb1 is extreme considering how little we yet know. Sony are also being coy with the final details of PS4 including the actual device.
It's too early to say that xb1 is utter rubbish and/or the PS4 is the second coming of Christ.
I suspect that both will be more alike than people want to accept and that the killer differences will actually come down to system software and infrastructure provided by the supplier. MS...
@panda
Agree mate. I wanted to play GT5 a few weeks ago for the first time in just over a year for an hour or so before I went out for the evening.. Granted that's a long time to have not played the game but I had to wait for the game to dl at least 13 updates. The first was over a gig and the rest were 250mb or so. It took so long I didn't get to play the game before I needed to go out so I left my PS3 running and it had finished when I got home.
I k...
Too early to judge. We don't officially know the exact make up of either systems APU or memory subsystems.
Once the hardware is out and somebody does a tear down analysis then we will know for sure. Don't count out the Xbox as the dedicated move engine hardware might throw up some surprises along with the Azure system for cloud.
I'm still wondering how Sony have managed to procure so much gddr5 in enough volume without it costing a fortune. I thi...
Looks good but urgh it still makes that horrible bong sound when you hit another car and there was no damage to the second vehicle he hit. The guy drove like Sergio Perez as well trying to ram his way through on the inside like a pleb.
The sound scheme needs a rework IMO as well. It's not as good as the competition.
Lighting and shadows look much improved.
Lighting looks promising but I'd like to see GT6 running on actual ps3 capture before I make any judgements especially about the aliasing.
If the improvements are as advertised I wonder how they have done it in terms of getting more performance out of the PS3 which I thought they maxed or GT5.
I have a ps3 but would rather buy this as a launch title with a PS4.
They could start by answering direct quests with direct answers rather than political answers.
